Dankashire Sounds was founded on New Year’s Eve 2016, rooted in a love for sound systems and the free party scene. From fields to basements to venues, we've been bringing heavyweight sound and good energy ever since.

Built in the North of England, the crew came together over a shared passion for deep bass, proper tunes, and doing things our own way. The heart of our sessions is the rig—hand-built by Kev Original, a respected cabinet builder known for crafting serious systems with clarity, warmth, and weight.

We've made noise in all kinds of spaces, but our spiritual home is the Golden Lion in Todmorden, where some of our most unforgettable nights have gone down. Whether it's dub, steppas, jungle, or beyond, it's always about the sound and the community.

Dankashire is self-built, self-run, and dedicated to creating open, welcoming spaces where people can come together around sound system culture.
