Acid Rain is an independent music publication and creative collective based in Manchester, dedicated to platforming underground sounds and grassroots culture.
As the team behind The Bag Factory venue, we’re passionate about creating spaces that platform emerging talent, pinpoint local voices, and build lasting communities around music and nightlife.

BRAINIAC RECORDS
Brainiac Records is a Manchester based record label and collective dedicated to pushing the underground sound. You will find jungle and drum & bass to the wider hardcore and break scene.
Founded in 2022 by Joe Simpson alongside Liam White, Oscar Wheatley, and later joined by Alex Roussel, Brainiac has grown from a student-led idea into one of the most exciting forces in Manchester’s underground music culture.

DANKASHIRE SOUNDS
Dankashire Sounds was founded on New Year’s Eve 2016 out of a love for sound systems and the free party scene. Born in the North of England, the crew came together with a shared passion for heavy bass, good tunes, and doing things our own way.
​
The rig itself was built by Kev Original, a respected cabinet builder known for crafting serious systems. Built for clarity, warmth, and proper pressure, it’s the foundation of every session we run.
DRUIDS OF DUB
Brainiac Records is a Manchester-based record label and collective dedicated to pushing the underground sound — from jungle and drum & bass to the wider electronic rave scene.

ILLUMINOX
Illuminox is the brainchild of Gabby Payton, known for her big presence on Instagram and TikTok, where she documents and relishes in the UK rave scene (especially DnB and Techno). After years of being a true raver, immersed in the culture, Gabby launched Illuminox to move from the dance floor to the decks and start building her own space.

Illuminox is about celebrating the full spectrum of electronic music. No genre gatekeeping, just pure passion. From dark, driving techno to high-energy jungle, every night is a journey across sound, curated for heads who love it all.

A rave space for the curious, the loyal, and the genre-fluid.
MIND OVER MATTER
Mind Over Matter is a Manchester-based rave series run by Leia-J & Abzero, built around music, mental health, and mutual care. Born from the belief that raving can be both freeing and healing, their nights aim to create a space where people feel genuinely safe, seen, and supported.

At the heart of Mind Over Matter are three core values:
Open conversation | a space where ravers can talk freely about mental health
Community care | creating a safe, inclusive dance floor for all
Giving back | raising money for Mind, the mental health charity
DECKHEADZ
Deckheadz is a collective of long time friends with a shared passion for dance music and generally fucking around. No two nights are the same and often include special guests!

While no particular genre is guranteed - a good night certaintly is!

These Deckheadz love pretty much every flavour of dance music and if you're someone who loves a variety of styles (or just enjoys horrific noises) and you don't take yourself too seriously then this is the place for you. Come party with some total Deckheadz!
